Get to know Mal
Mallory B. Richardson was raised Rocky Mount, NC is a graduate of NC
State University. She has established her career and adult life in Raleigh, NC
in financial services and administrative support. Mallory knew early on she
was destined to be a self-starter, influencer and entrepreneur as her
blood lines both extend to business owners, which see the world a little
differently.
Her eagerness to develop a career in fashion stemmed from her love of
clothing styling. This ambitious young woman created The Doll House in
2014, recently rebranded as Platform (July 2018),pursuing her dream as a
fashion stylist and exploring her philanthropic goals by recently creating
Beaucoup, Raleigh's premiere Plus Size nonprofit support network for
career development, wellness and service. Mallory created this
organization following her participation in the 2015 1st Annual Ms.
Full Figured NC where she was awarded Ms. Congeniality. She additionally
earned First Runner up int he Ms. Indian North Carolina Pageant in
2010 and 2011.
Her fun-loving spirit, determined mindset and care for her community and
the fashion world motivate her to seek new height in her career. She was
named the 2017 Face of Full Figured Fashion Week, April 2017 after
submitting a video to be judged by industry professionals. Serving in this
illustrious role, Mallory had the opportunity to meet bloggers, models,
designers and influencers from around the world, while hosting events,
engaging FFFW attendees and promoting the brand rigorously via social
media posts, shares, videos and viral snippets during events. This was just
one of the many accomplishments for Mallory in 2017. Birth of an Empire
(2016) was her first fashion production in celebration of her milestone birthday. April 1, 2017 she continued that effort by hosting North Carolina’s Plus Fashion week entitled Crusade of Curves. This event boasted nearly 200 in attendance during this three-day event. In addition, Mallory was invited to participate in her first international showcase for Malia Indio’s Toronto Plus Size Fashion Show in July. This is has been a world-wind of a year for her career in Fashion production, Runway, Print, and Spokes modeling, not to mention her leadership and influence in charitable efforts on behalf of Beaucoup. Mallory is now the proud CEO and owner of The Platform Clothier, which launched in September 2023 as a part of her growing entrepreneurial empire.

Mallory has been a plus size woman for the majority of her life. Mallory provides 1:1 consultations, ride along fitting, online shopping and fashion event coordination services. As a child, Mallory, was obsessed with Barbie, she had a huge influence on her girlish and fashion loving ways. As a clothing stylist and aspiring online boutique owner, Mallory strives to build reputable relationships, long lasting customer engagement, evolve as the market of fashion and offer top quality services for nominal rates for aspiring models, fashionistas, and people who need support modifying their style to changing careers, and aspects of their lives. Mallory's family, faith, tribal community (Haliwa-Saponi) and hometown are the core of her rigorous work ethic and distinction.
